New targeted drug enters trial for Tough-to-Treat lung cancer

Summary

This study is testing whether an experimental drug called zelenectide pevedotin can help control advanced lung cancer that has a specific genetic feature (NECTIN4 amplification) and has stopped responding to other treatments. It will involve about 73 people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer who have already tried at least one standard therapy. The main goal is to see if the drug shrinks tumors and how long that benefit lasts, while closely monitoring side effects.
