New drug duo aims to stall advanced lung cancer

Summary
This study tested a combination of two immunotherapy drugs, atezolizumab and bevacizumab, as a first treatment for adults with a specific type of advanced non-small cell lung cancer. The goal was to see if this drug pair could help control the cancer and delay its progression. The trial involved 41 patients who had not received prior treatment for their advanced cancer and whose tumors had a high number of genetic mutations.
