Targeted attack on lung cancer in the brain shows promise

NCT ID NCT07491211

Summary

This study looks back at medical records to see how well a combination treatment works for people with a specific type of advanced lung cancer that has spread to the brain and is causing symptoms. The treatment combines a targeted drug (osimertinib) with precise, focused radiation to the brain tumors. Researchers are analyzing data from 300 patients to understand if this approach helps control the cancer longer and is safe.
