Scientists probe link between lung cancer genes and deadly clots

NCT ID NCT07288632

Summary

This study aims to understand if specific genetic mutations in a patient's lung cancer make them more likely to develop dangerous blood clots, known as venous thromboembolism (VTE). Researchers will follow 500 people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) for six months, comparing those with certain mutations to those without. They will regularly check blood for signs of clotting and inflammation to see if a genetic profile can help predict this serious risk.
