Summary

This study tests a new version of megestrol acetate (nanocrystalline) to see if it can prevent appetite loss and weight loss in people with advanced lung cancer getting chemotherapy and radiation. About 134 adults with stage III non-small cell lung cancer will either get the drug or a placebo alongside standard care. The goal is to help patients feel better and maintain their strength during tough cancer treatment.
