Doctors test simple fluid trick to prevent dangerous lung collapse during biopsies
NCT ID NCT06340178
Summary
This study is testing if adding a small amount of fluid into the chest space during a CT-guided lung biopsy can reduce the risk of the lung collapsing, a common complication. Researchers will also check if positioning the patient so the biopsy is taken from the lower part of the lung helps. The goal is to make this common diagnostic procedure safer for the 198 patients participating.
