Summary
This study tested a device called Lumoral that uses two types of light to treat chronic gum disease (periodontitis) at home. 202 adults with gum disease used the device regularly along with their usual dental care. The main goal was to see if it reduced bleeding when gums are probed, a key sign of gum inflammation.
