New Finger-Prick test could simplify blood monitoring for patients on common anticoagulant
NCT ID NCT04074980
First seen Jun 13, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested a new finger-prick blood test (LumiraDx INR test) to see if it accurately measures how thin the blood is in people taking the anticoagulant phenprocoumon. Researchers compared results from 102 adults to standard lab tests. The goal was to see if this quick, point-of-care test could reliably replace traditional blood draws for monitoring.
