Can back surgery straighten your stance?
NCT ID NCT03065452
Summary
This study looked at whether standard decompression surgery for lumbar spinal stenosis helps improve patients' forward-leaning posture in addition to relieving leg pain. Researchers followed 72 patients who had surgery after other treatments failed, measuring their spinal alignment with advanced 3D imaging. The goal was to understand if the surgery corrects posture problems that develop when people lean forward to reduce pain.
