New gel tested to soothe debilitating itch for dialysis patients
NCT ID NCT04393675
Summary
This early-stage study tested a new topical gel called LT5001 for people on kidney dialysis who suffer from severe, long-term itching (uremic pruritus). The main goals were to check the gel's safety, how the body processes it, and see if it could reduce itching and improve quality of life. The study involved a small group of 18 patients and was stopped early.
