New pill for postpartum depression shows promise in phase 3 trial

Summary

This study tested an oral drug called LPCN 1154A in 90 women with severe postpartum depression. Half received the drug and half received a placebo to see if the drug safely reduces depression and anxiety symptoms. The trial is now complete, and results will show how well the drug worked compared to a sugar pill.
