New hope for severe childhood epilepsy: Long-Term drug trial seeks to tame debilitating seizures

NCT ID NCT06908226

Summary

This study is testing the long-term safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication called LP352 for controlling seizures in children and adults with severe forms of developmental and epileptic encephalopathy (DEE). The trial is open to participants who previously completed earlier LP352 studies and will monitor them for about 14 months to see how well the drug works over time and what side effects might occur. Researchers will track seizure frequency and watch for any health changes while participants take the medication.
