Could less radiation mean fewer side effects for throat cancer patients?

Summary
This study is for people with advanced nasopharyngeal (upper throat) cancer who have already responded well to initial drug treatments. It aims to see if using a lower dose of radiation therapy works as well as the standard dose at keeping the cancer from returning, while hopefully causing fewer severe side effects like dry mouth, trouble swallowing, and hearing loss. About 456 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the lower or standard radiation dose, along with ongoing drug therapy.
