Laser light could ease jaw pain, new study finds
NCT ID NCT06419738
First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at whether low-level laser therapy, combined with a self-care program, can reduce pain and improve jaw movement in people with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. 66 adults with recent jaw or facial muscle pain took part. Researchers measured pain levels, number of tender spots, and how wide the mouth could open. The goal was to see if this gentle laser treatment offers a safe, non-drug option for easing TMJ discomfort.
