Can a simple diet change soothe Kids' tummy troubles?

NCT ID NCT06618677

Summary

This study tested whether a low FODMAP diet, which limits certain hard-to-digest carbohydrates, could reduce stomach pain and other IBS symptoms in children. Researchers enrolled 70 kids with IBS to try this special diet and a standard diet in a specific order, while also checking for changes in their gut bacteria and body chemistry. The goal was to see if this dietary approach, which helps many adults, is also effective and safe for children.
