New study tests safer anesthesia for lung surgery patients
NCT ID NCT07085546
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at how a lower amount of sevoflurane gas (a type of anesthesia) affects breathing and oxygen levels in 50 adults having lung surgery where only one lung is used for breathing. The goal was to see if low-flow anesthesia is safe and might reduce breathing problems after surgery. Results could help doctors choose better anesthesia methods for future lung operations.
