First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study tests whether low-dose radiotherapy can ease hand and wrist arthritis pain as well as or better than standard corticosteroid injections. About 165 adults aged 50 and older with moderate to severe hand osteoarthritis will receive one of the two treatments. Researchers will measure pain changes and hand function over time to see which approach works best.
