First seen Jun 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests giving a low dose of norepinephrine (a drug that helps maintain blood pressure) during laparoscopic abdominal surgery. The goal is to see if it reduces the amount of IV fluids needed and lowers the risk of lung complications afterward. The trial involves 130 adults at high risk for lung problems after surgery. Half will get the drug, half a placebo, and researchers will compare fluid use and complication rates.
