First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looked at whether giving a small amount of muscle relaxant during a lung procedure (bronchoscopy) helps prevent throat spasms and makes the procedure smoother. 153 adults having elective bronchoscopy were split into two groups: one got low-dose muscle relaxants, the other got none. Researchers tracked how well the breathing tube went in, how often throat spasms happened, and how patients felt afterward.
