Summary
This early-phase study tests whether giving a low dose of oral amlodipine can help protect the kidneys of diabetic patients in the intensive care unit from damage caused by contrast dye used in imaging procedures. The trial will enroll 40 adults aged 18 to 70 with diabetes and normal kidney function. Researchers will measure creatinine levels before and for two days after the procedure to see if amlodipine offers any protective benefit.
