Could a simple dialysis tweak speed up recovery?
NCT ID NCT07360769
Summary
This study investigated whether using a lower dialysate flow rate during hemodialysis could still effectively clean the blood while potentially improving how patients feel after treatment. Researchers compared a standard high flow rate to a lower flow rate in 80 adults with end-stage kidney disease. The goal was to see if the lower flow could reduce recovery time and improve quality of life without compromising the dialysis's effectiveness.
