Week-Long heart patch aims to catch elusive fainting causes

NCT ID NCT06310707

Summary

This study tested whether wearing a heart monitor for 7 days finds more treatable heart rhythm problems in people with fainting spells than the standard 24-hour monitor. Adults recommended for heart monitoring were randomly assigned to wear either the longer-term patch or the shorter-term one. The goal was to see if the extra monitoring time leads to better diagnosis and treatment plans.
