New hope for rare skin disease: nearly 5-Year treatment trial launches

Summary
This study looks at the long-term safety and effectiveness of the drug spesolimab in people with generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP), a rare and severe skin condition. About 131 adults who completed a prior spesolimab trial will receive the drug for up to 252 weeks (almost 5 years). Doctors will monitor side effects and how well the drug controls flare-ups and symptoms over time.
