New schizophrenia drug LB-102 moves to large safety trial

Summary
This study tests the long-term safety of a new medication, LB-102, in 900 adults with stable schizophrenia. Participants will take the drug for 52 weeks while doctors monitor side effects and overall health. The goal is to see if LB-102 is safe for ongoing use to control schizophrenia symptoms.
