Summary

This study looks at the long-term safety of an oral medication called dersimelagon for people with erythropoietic protoporphyria (EPP) or X-linked protoporphyria (XLP) — rare conditions that cause severe pain and skin reactions to sunlight. About 300 participants who completed a prior dersimelagon study will take the drug and be monitored for side effects, vital signs, and skin changes. The goal is to see if the drug remains safe over an extended period.
