Extended treatment tested for lingering COVID heart condition
NCT ID NCT05918978
Summary
This extension study followed adults with post-COVID POTS (a condition causing fast heart rate and dizziness upon standing) who had completed a previous 24-week trial. All 33 participants received the investigational drug efgartigimod via IV to evaluate its long-term safety and whether it continued to help control symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, and orthostatic intolerance over an additional 48 weeks. The study was terminated early, and results focus on safety and patient-reported symptom changes.
