Summary
This study tested a procedure called stellate ganglion block and bilateral cardiac sympathetic denervation in 18 adults with life-threatening, uncontrolled heart rhythm storms. The goal was to reduce the number of dangerous heart events and shocks from implanted defibrillators. The approach aims to control the condition, not cure it, and patients may still need ongoing management.
