Laser zaps implant infection in 10-Year dental study
NCT ID NCT07104760
Summary
This study is following 80 people for up to 10 years to see how well a specific treatment works for peri-implantitis, a serious infection that causes bone loss around dental implants. The treatment involves a minor surgical procedure to clean the implant, using a special laser, and some participants also take a short course of antibiotics. The main goal is to see if this approach can stop the infection and bone loss over a very long period.
