Weekly HIV injection study extended for promising responders

This study aimed to provide continued access to a weekly injection called PRO140 for HIV patients who had successfully completed an earlier trial and were benefiting from the treatment. The research followed 43 treatment-experienced patients to monitor how well the injection kept their virus levels low and tracked side effects over time. The study was terminated and did not aim to cure HIV, but rather to help patients maintain control of their infection with ongoing treatment.
