Study halts early: tracking hernia return after reflux surgeries

NCT ID NCT04695171

Summary

This study aimed to compare how often large hiatal hernias come back years after two different types of surgery. It looked back at and followed up with patients who had either a LINX magnetic device or a traditional fundoplication surgery more than two years ago. The goal was to see which procedure had a lower long-term hernia recurrence rate and how patients felt about their symptoms afterward.
