Five years later: do cash rewards for prenatal care create lasting change?
NCT ID NCT05709457
Summary
This study follows up on a program that gave cash payments to Nigerian women who received prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care at health facilities. Researchers are checking back five years later to see if those positive behaviors continued, if children's health benefits lasted, and if the program influenced other women in the same communities. They are surveying 21,000 women to understand the long-term and community-wide effects of the incentive program.
