New treatment tested to loosen paralyzed arms

NCT ID NCT07478822

Summary

This study is testing the long-term safety and effectiveness of repeated injections of a new botulinum toxin (YY001) for adults with stiff, tight arm muscles (spasticity) after a stroke. It aims to see if multiple treatments over time can safely reduce muscle tightness and improve daily activities like dressing and hygiene. The study will enroll about 300 adults who had a stroke at least 3 months ago and have significant arm disability.
