Volunteers deliberately infected to test new food poisoning prevention
NCT ID NCT04182490
Summary
This study tested whether a new product called LMN-101 could prevent Campylobacter infection, a common cause of food poisoning. Healthy volunteers took either LMN-101 or a placebo and were then deliberately exposed to the bacteria. Researchers monitored participants for infection and side effects to see if LMN-101 offered protection.
