Doctors study which breathing tube is safer for kids in surgery
NCT ID NCT07252674
Summary
This study aims to learn which of two common breathing tube methods is gentler on children's lungs during surgery. Researchers will observe 100 children aged 2-5 years having planned surgery, comparing the laryngeal mask airway (LMA) and endotracheal tube (ETT). They will measure lung stress during surgery and track breathing problems like coughing or low oxygen after surgery to see if one method is better.
