NCT ID NCT06713343

First seen Sep 30, 2025

Summary

This study looked at whether storing a breathing tube (laryngeal mask airway) at a cold temperature (10-12°C) or room temperature (22-25°C) changes how often patients have a sore throat after surgery. 172 adults having planned surgery under general anesthesia took part. Researchers asked about sore throat, cough, and trouble swallowing at several times after the operation. The goal was to find a simple way to reduce discomfort after anesthesia.
