Surgeons find safer path for High-Risk liver transplants

NCT ID NCT07192653

Summary

This study looked at a new surgical method for patients with severe blood clots in a major liver vein who needed a transplant. Doctors used a small ligament from the donor liver to help restore blood flow during the operation. The goal was to make these complex transplants safer and improve the chances of the new liver working well long-term.
