New hope for transplant patients battling recurring liver disease

Summary

This study is testing whether an oral medication called resmetirom can reduce harmful fat buildup in the liver of people who have had a liver transplant. It will involve 120 participants who have developed fatty liver disease after their transplant. The main goal is to see if the drug lowers liver fat more than a placebo pill after 28 weeks of treatment.
