Radical transplant strategy offers hope for inoperable liver cancer

NCT ID NCT04378023

Summary

This study is testing a two-step treatment for a type of bile duct cancer that cannot be surgically removed. First, patients receive chemotherapy and radiation to shrink the tumor. Then, they receive a liver transplant. The goal is to see if this aggressive approach helps patients live longer and keeps the cancer from coming back.
