Radical transplant offers hope when cancer surgery Isn't possible
NCT ID NCT05186116
Summary
This study is testing whether liver transplants from living donors can help patients with colon cancer that has spread only to their liver and cannot be removed by standard surgery. Researchers will follow 25 patients to see if the transplant helps them live longer and keeps the cancer from returning, compared to patients who only receive chemotherapy. The trial also carefully monitors the health and quality of life of the living donors who provide part of their liver.
