Fluid strategy in transplant surgery could improve patient recovery
NCT ID NCT05647733
Summary
This study is testing two different approaches to managing fluids given during liver transplant surgery. One approach uses less fluid overall, while the other uses more fluid to keep the heart pumping strongly. The goal is to see which method helps patients recover better after surgery with fewer serious complications. The trial is a pilot study to see if a larger, definitive trial across multiple Canadian hospitals is possible.
