New handheld scanner could make liver tests easier
NCT ID NCT07242404
Summary
This study aims to see if a new handheld liver scanner works as well as an existing device for measuring liver stiffness and fat in people with chronic liver disease. Researchers will test 224 adults with hepatitis B or fatty liver disease, comparing measurements taken while lying down and sitting up. The goal is to determine if the new device is accurate and reliable, and if sitting-position tests could be a practical alternative for patients.
