New scan aims to spot Kids' liver tumors earlier

NCT ID NCT06639828

Summary

This study is testing a special dye called Sonazoid that is given during an ultrasound scan to get clearer pictures of liver tumors in children. The goal is to see if this enhanced scan can more accurately tell if a tumor is benign or cancerous compared to a standard ultrasound. About 50 children in Europe with a liver mass will receive the contrast agent during their scan to evaluate its safety and how well it works for diagnosis.
