Drug trial aims to shrink dangerous liver fat in women with common hormone disorder

Summary
This study tested whether a drug called saroglitazar could reduce the amount of fat in the liver for women who have both polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and fatty liver disease. About 60 women were randomly assigned to receive either the real drug or a placebo pill for 24 weeks. The main goal was to see if the drug safely lowered liver fat, measured by a special MRI scan.
