New scan aims to replace painful liver biopsies
NCT ID NCT07128108
Summary
This study is testing a new type of ultrasound scan to see how well it can detect and measure fat buildup and scarring in the liver. Researchers will compare the scan results to the current standard method, a liver biopsy, in 225 adults with known liver injury. The goal is to see if this painless scan can accurately grade liver disease without needing a needle biopsy.
