New ultrasound tool could catch liver disease early

Summary

This study tests a non-invasive ultrasound exam (Hepatoscope) to screen for liver scarring and fat buildup in 200 adults at risk for chronic liver disease. Participants with elevated stiffness readings will be referred to a liver specialist. The goal is to see if this tool can accurately identify those needing further care, potentially catching liver problems earlier.
