Blood test could target lifesaving treatment for liver patients
NCT ID NCT05056220
Summary
This study is testing whether a new blood test can identify which patients with advanced liver cirrhosis and fluid buildup will benefit most from regular albumin infusions. About 240 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either albumin or a saline solution every 10 days for 6 months. The main goal is to see if using the test to guide treatment reduces serious liver complications and hospital visits.
