Researchers test tailored drug doses for diabetics with damaged livers
NCT ID NCT07439536
Summary
This study tested whether using computer models to adjust the doses of two common medications (sitagliptin for diabetes and duloxetine for nerve pain) could make them safer and more effective for people who have both diabetes and liver cirrhosis. It involved 64 adult patients with these conditions over three months. The goal was to find better dosing rules for these patients, as standard doses might not be right when the liver is not working properly.
