New hope for inoperable liver cancer: testing Direct-Attack therapies
NCT ID NCT06313203
Summary
This study is for people with a type of bile duct cancer (intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma) that cannot be removed by surgery right away. It aims to see if combining standard chemotherapy with one of two treatments that deliver therapy directly to the liver can help control the cancer, possibly making surgery an option later or extending life. The two liver-targeted methods being compared are a radiation treatment (SIRT) and a chemotherapy pump (HAI-FUDR/DEX).
