New triple attack on tough liver cancer shows promise

NCT ID NCT05348811

Summary

This study tested a new three-part treatment for advanced bile duct cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. It combined a targeted chemotherapy delivered directly to the liver, a drug that blocks cancer growth signals, and an immunotherapy drug. The goal was to see if this combination is safe and effective at shrinking tumors and controlling the disease in 25 participants who had not received prior treatment for their advanced cancer.
