New approach aims to make liver cancer treatment hit tumors harder, spare healthy tissue

NCT ID NCT07312292

Summary

This study is testing whether a drug called angiotensin II can help a liver cancer treatment called radioembolization work better. The drug is given directly into the liver's blood supply right before the radioactive treatment beads, with the goal of steering more radiation to the tumor and less to healthy liver tissue. Researchers will enroll 15 adults with advanced liver cancer to see if this approach improves targeting and is safe.
